Create a doc entitled, period_last name_Mapping the Land
SHARE with Mrs. Rankin at carolyn.rankin@pvms.gapps.swcs.us
(I suggest you highlight, copy and paste my domain address in the share box.)
On this doc, write a one paragraph response to this prompt:
If you were a serf living in medieval Europe, how would you respond to news that you were no longer obligated to work for the lord of your manor and were free to leave? Where would you move to improve the quality of your life?
This activity is designed to help us identify important physiographic features of Europe and analyze why cities emerged during the Renaissance.
What does 'physiographic' mean?
physio means "physical,"
graphic means, "written down or recorded"
feature means "a particular characteristic of something."
Thus, a physiographic feature is a physical characteristic of the land--a lake, a mountain, a river, a desert--that is recorded on a map.
